Our Story

He brought streams out of the stone and made water flow down like rivers. - Psalm 78:16

How it all started...

The exact date that Pine Hill Baptist Church was established is unknown. The earliest known reference to Pine Hill Baptist Church is in a letter dated September 29, 1863 from a confederate soldier during the American Civil War mentioning the church at Pine Hill.
Since that time many things have changed, Pine Hill Baptist Church was once a single room building that circuit riding preachers would use as they passed through the area. The Sanctuary has been renovated several times over the years. A baptistry pool was added some time ago, but pictured here is the old iron bridge on Hadley Ferry Road where Pine Hill Baptist Church baptized new members. We've added an educational building for Sunday School and Bible Study classes, and recently the original Fellowship Hall was torn down and rebuilt, and the main Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and Education Building were joined together. Pine Hill Baptist Church has continued to raise money for a new project to enlarge our Sanctuary, long-term planning is in development for this effort.

While the structure has changed our mission remains the same.

Where we are headed...

Pine Hill Baptist Church started a long time ago as a single room building that met for church about twice a month, now we have expanded and we are planning to expand even more. Join us as we prepare a way for God to use us for His purpose in our community.
