When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” ~ Matthew 9:36-38 NIV
The exact date that Pine Hill Baptist Church was established is unknown. The earliest document found is a letter written by a confederate soldier referencing Pine Hill Church. Pine Hill has gone through many changes since that time but one thing remains the same, our basic purpose is to follow Jesus. Two of the most important lessons Jesus ever taught was the Great Commandment and Great Commission:
“Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” ~ Matthew 22:36-40
“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” ~ Matthew 28:19-20
Come join us as we grow and follow Jesus!
Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. ~ Isaiah 40:4
We are a thriving, Christ-centered church committed to reaching the lost and making disciples both in our community and around the world. Our mission is to equip believers for the work of ministry to spread the Gospel of Christ and reach the lost. Our vision is to see lives changed by the transformative power of Jesus Christ. Our mission and vision are accomplished by submitting to the authority of God the Father, following the example of Jesus Christ, and surrendering to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We are a growing church, on a strong foundation with a wonderful pastor, Charles Parker, who balances unapologetically preaching the word of God while loving the church, and anyone who walks through our doors. We are supported by strong and faithful members who serve in places of leadership and teaching roles, and we have a vibrant young group of new believers on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings learning what it means to follow Jesus Christ. Our congregation spans a large area in South Georgia and North Florida, and we have a growing online community as well.
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. ~ Proverbs 4:18
