Charles Parker Weekly Update

Dear Pine Hill Church family,

Wow, Homecoming knocked it out of park last Sunday.  With our overflow in the social hall it makes us wonder where we would have been if sometime in the past you had not  planned  to build a new social hall and you did.  Without your past year’s planning and giving the money we would have had an outdoor crowd and an outdoor lunch (dinner on the grounds).  Bro. Gregg Ford did his best sermon yet so it was a great day.  My special thanks to the cooks, servers, clean up and other working people that made it a great day.  I have us a special service coming one day soon.  I have invited Mrs. Betty Richards to come and tell her story.  Mrs. Richards is one of the very few people left still living who was at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.  Her dad was a Navy pilot stationed there and she was a child when Japan attacked.  Initially I had asked her to come on Memorial Day Sunday night but knowing that is a 3 day weekend we are going to plan it on one side or the other of the 3 day weekend.  I may have the date locked by Sunday.  Remember this is 5th Sunday coming thus our special building fund offering day.  Sunday morning’s sermon is the 3rd in my series of questions that Jesus asked.  It will be; “What do you want Me to do for you?” and the evening lesson will be “Would you be a Friend of God”.  Pray that the Holy Spirit will meet us there with His power.
