Thoughts and Prayers…

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brother Parker, in the loss of his wife Mrs. Betty Parker. We pray that God would give him and his family peace and comfort during this time of grieving. We know she is in a better place, but she will be missed.

Tent Revival Update

If you haven’t been able to make it to the Tent Revival, you’re missing out. Two nights down, and two more to go, you still have a chance to make it. The music, and the preaching have been outstanding, and tomorrow night will be no different. A group of ladies from Sherwood Baptist Church will bring the music, and Rev. Paul Dennis will once again bring the message.

Trunk-or-Treat

Join us tonight for a Trunk-or-Treat! Decorate the trunk of your car, and pass out candy to the kids.and adults. And stick around for soup and sandwiches.

Lock-in at PHBC

We’re getting loud and crazy at PHBC! The kids have no volume control , it’s on high all the time. Pizza, cokes, and ice-cream (with the sprinkles). They’ve played some games (and hopefully learned something from them), and it’s back outside for football. We’re going to try and calm them down to watch some movies, and maybe get them to sleep as a decent hour. It’s all fun!

Pastor Appreciation Day

Today we took time to thank our Pastor, Charles Parker, for his service to our church. We hope that he feels that we appreciate him all year round, and know that we are always thankful to God for bringing him our way even if it may be for a short time.

Great Movie!!!

Last night our church saw the much anticipated “Courageous” movie, and no one was disappointed. The movie made you cry one minute, and laugh the next (and literally you were wiping tears away while laughing at the next scene). This is a great movie to take your family too, and it reminds men of the awesome responsibility of fatherhood, about keeping the faith, and having the courage to hold true to what God expects of you.

More News about Courageous Movie

Finally some good news for Christians! The movie “Courageous” has finally caught the attention of Hollywood. “Courageous” was number #5 in ticket sales this past weekend. This is encouraging news for future films espousing Christian values. Read more about it here.

Makiah Kaitlyn King Well Project

An update on our contributions made to the Well Project in honor of Makiah King. This little girl was killed in a car accident, by a driver under the influence of drugs. One of the last things she wanted to do was to donate money to build wells in Africa. Our church donated money and they have built there first well. Click here too see the progress made, and are making….
